Willard Goodman

Willard Goodman, 6/29/1926 - 12/7/2017 Bill successfully battled many ailments over the years, and lived much longer than he ever expected, but the hands of time finally caught up with him, and he passed away December 7, 2017.  Bill, the son of Max and Ann Goodman of Philadelphia PA, is survived by his daughter Peggy Goodman, San Diego, CA, daughter and son in law Martee and Ralph Plummer, Milford, MI, and son and daughter in law John and Lifeng Goodman, San Diego, CA. Bill is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his much loved companion of many years, Mary Brand. Bill was a very honest man, and had a long career as a Certified Public Accountant, serving as a Partner in the firm Goodman, Demink & Cerutti, then working as a private consultant, often appointed by the local Courts to assist with business valuation issues. He was an active member of the People’s Church of Kalamazoo for 65 years. Throughout his life he was passionate about education.  He was elected and served on the Kalamazoo Board of Education in his younger years, and was a volunteer tutor for under achieving students in his retirement years.  His greatest joy was found on the golf course. An avid golfer, Bill played his final round this summer for his 91st birthday. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, December 17, 2:00 pm, at the Peoples Church, 1758 10th St. N., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
