Stephen Charles Young (Stevie) Biddle died in an automobile accident near Gillette, Wyoming this past Monday. He was 29 years old.First and foremost, Stevie was a Godly man and devout Catholic, always looking to give of himself to the Church. He was intelligent, active and athletic, with a winning personality and sense of humor that immediately drew people to him. He graduated from East Lansing High School and the University of Notre Dame, and was employed at the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research in Kalamazoo. He played on East Lansing High School’s state championship tennis team of 2007 and on an intramural volleyball championship team at Notre Dame, and enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities. He also loved music, spending three years as a member of the Notre Dame Glee Club and playing guitar with a local Kalamazoo band. Stevie had a generous and caring heart, giving extravagantly of his time and energy to family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers when he sensed a need. Stevie was to be married at the end of the month to his beloved fiancée Kate Thuestad of Waterman, IL, which makes the sadness of his passing all the more poignant to those he left behind. Stevie is survived by his mother Kay Young Biddle, his father Jeff Eskew Biddle, brothers Jeff “Jeb” Biddle and John Biddle (Katie), nephew Joseph Edward Biddle, and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to The Midian Leadership Project Inc.
