Sally Wrench of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Upjohn Community Care Center. Sally was born June 30, 1931 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Francis Newman and Dolores Emelia (Lion) Russell. She worked at the UpJohn Pharmaceutical Company for 24 years retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish where she was involved with "the Mothers of Mary Group” for years. She was a wonderful cook and gracious host. She loved any chance to gather family and friends together to entertain. She so enjoyed her bridge club group and Florida trips with her special friends. She traveled many places to and with her children as well as lovely trips around the world with her sister Doree and Bob. Her family was her all. On August 16, 1952 she married Wally Wrench and together they have seven children who are all surviving. Jane (Tim) Vander Weele of Kalamazoo; Steve (Carolynn) Wrench of Ramsey, MN; David Wrench of Costa Mesa, CA: Tom (Jennifer) Wrench of Kalamazoo; Mark Wrench of Kalamazoo; Joan Graves of Kalamazoo; John (Amy) Wrench of Longwood, FL: sister Doree (Bob) Boyle of Hickory Corners. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers James Arthur Russell in 1995 and John Lion Russell in 2014. Sally loved her 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews dearly. Friends and family will be received 1-3 & 4-7 pm Friday, February 14, 2020 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Legacy Foundation c/o Heritage Community or to the charity of one's choice.
