Rev. Fr. Wieslaw Lipka

Rev. Father Wieslaw Lipka passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Kairos Dwelling. Fr. Lipka was born to Marian and Wladyslawa (Kukulska) Lipka January 12, 1941, in Gasewa, Poland. Fr. Lipka joined the ranks of Priesthood in 1965. He continued to minister in Poland for 30 years when he was called to the United States to preach in 2001, spending his last years ministering at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Two and a half years ago he celebrated his 50th jubilee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus organization. Fr. Lipka is survived by his sisters, several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at St. Augustine Cathedral Friday January 5, 2018 from 5:30-8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:30.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Augustine Cathedral.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kairos Dwelling.
