Paul Edward Ranger passed away peacefully at White Oaks Assisted Living Center in Lawton, Michigan on June 3, 2018. He was born to Harold and Bernice Ranger (Gorsline) on February 6, 1919 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Paul was a proud veteran of WWII, where he served as a Seaman 1st Class in the Navy. He worked at Oliver Equipment Co. of Battle Creek as a tool and die maker until they closed in 1983, and then went on to retire from Shakespeare’s as a tool and die maker and the Forman. He later took on the head of maintenance. Paul married the loving Etta Burlison on April 19, 1940. In his free time, Paul was a member of the Beacon Club since 1970, the President and Team Manager of Milwood Little League, and instrumental in starting the girls softball team. Paul is survived by his loving wife Etta, his children; Ivan (Sandra) Ranger, Paula (Jerry) Schuman, sister Louise Bolin; grandchildren; Mark (Gretchen) Schuman, Mindy (Russ) Weaver, Mickie (Mick) Naughton, Mandy (Jeff) Muller, Brian (Pamela) Ranger, Kevin Ranger, Ryan (Maria) Ranger; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his siblings Thelma Britton, Earl Ranger, and Dale Ranger. Visitation will be held on June 11, 2018 at Redmond Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will take place on June 12, 2018 at 11 AM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Hospice, ASPCA, or Wounded Warrior.
