Paul William Jordan

Paul William Jordan of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday April 9, 2023 at home. Paul was born August 25, 1957 in Kalamazoo the son of Harold and Jeanette (Doyle) Jordan. He was a 1975 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and Davenport University. Paul was previously employed at Whirlpool and Kellogg’s and retired from Ascension Borgess Hospital. Paul loved camping with his wife and dogs, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. In earlier years he loved hunting with friends and family, building model planes, flying his ultralight aircraft, bowling, playing acoustic guitar, karaoke, playing cards, family game nights, and cruising Barton Lake at Jellystone Park with Uncle Joe, KC Jane (doggie), a case of beer,  and whichever kids wanted to go and swim. Paul was mostly known as Pops or Papa, or William if he was being ridiculous. Paul had an amazing sense of humor, and cared for his loved ones with his whole heart. For the record, he could not make gravy.   On June 20, 1981 Paul was united in marriage to the former Diane Kuhse who survives. Also surviving are two children, Austin Jordan, Alicia (Jeff) Brady; three grandchildren, Kadence, Lillian, Joseph; brother, Peter (Janet) Jordan; two sisters, Joanne (Terrance) Reniger, Diane Ransome; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Justin Jordan in 2004; two brothers Lee and Tom Jordan. Friends will be received 4-8 pm Thursday April 13, 2023 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home and also from 12-1pm Friday at the funeral home where services will follow at 130pm. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to COPE Network, the Bronson Cancer Center, or the Humane Society of Kalamazoo.
