Paul Arthur Weaver

February 11, 1922 — November 5, 2017

A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, Paul slipped peacefully from this world Sunday November 5th, 2017.  He was 95.  Paul was born February 11th, 1922, the son of Archibald and Frieda (Weller) Weaver. He attended Saint Augustine High School graduating in 1940.  Paul was an Army Air Force signal corpsman in WWII.  He used his knowledge of Morse Code (and his sparkling eyes) to woo and wed Patricia Brennan of Paw Paw, in 1943.  Paul loved the outdoors, especially the golf course or when riding with the top down in his latest convertible. He enjoyed the company of others, discussing the news of the day over a cup of coffee or a beer. He was the Deputy Assessor for the city of Kalamazoo, established “Mall City Realty”, and started “Paul Weaver and Associates,” appraisers of real estate. He was a lifetime member of Real Estate Alumni of Michigan, and a member of the Appraisal Institute with Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) Designation. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, and sister, Janet Weaver. Surviving are his children, Paul A. Weaver Jr. (Lee) and Pamela Neubacher (Richard Herrema), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday December 12, 2017 at St. Augustine Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Park Village Pines, 2920 Crystal Lane, Kalamazoo, 49009.
