Nena Dresser Died in Battle Creek Specialty Hospital, May 2, 2019. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI at Bronson Hospital July 19, 1947 to George B. and Marie N (Pierce) Mackey. Nena Graduated from Portage Central High school’s Largest graduating class in 1965. She attended Ferris State Collage, Working at Zayre Dep’t Store during Vacations. She Eventually Worked for Vista and Superior business forms . In 2008 she became ill and had many long years fighting various Maladies. Nena had a keen interest in movies, politics, history, art and love of animals especially cats. Being Particularly Interested on the history of the royal families including Egypt. Nena Leaves to mourn her loss; her mother, Marie Mackey, Two Brothers, Charlie D. and Arnold D. Mackey of Portage; Two Nieces, Jamie (Ken) Mills Of Pinedale WY, Pamela Maikoski Of Tampa, Fl and One Nephew Kyle Coffinger and family of Portage, Three Grand Nieces Kerri and Kayla Maikoski of Tampa, Fl, Aylen Mills of Pinedale, WY, Two Grand Nephews, Fisher and Ezekial Mills of Pinedale, WY. And many other cousins. Preceding her in death was her father, George B. Mackey and dearly beloved brother George Barrett Mackey. Nena had no children. Nena would like family and friends to do a kind act toward others and support your local animal shelter. Redmond Funeral Home is in charge of services at Mt. Ever-Rest South, in the chapel at 11:00 Am, Saturday, May 11, 2019. Internment Following
