Cary D. Smith

Passed away September 7, 2022. Cary was born in Kalamazoo on January 30, 1979 the son of Craig and Susan (Rouse) Smith. He was a graduate of Comstock High School. He was an avid reader and loved to pursue his passions of fishing and spending time on the water. He also enjoyed connecting with family & friends through activities like dinner, outings, baseball games, movies and through written messaging. Cary is survived by his parents Craig (Jodene) Smith and Susan (Rouse) Smith, five siblings: Michael & Linda VanWelden of IL, Angela Smith of Fl., Rachelle & Josh Schultz of Kalamazoo, Crystal Smith of Kalamazoo, and Amber Smith of Kalamazoo, step sister Ashlea & Eric Belka of Martin, Cary was passionate about being an uncle to: Cole, Gavin, Noah and Lola. Visitation will be held September 19, 2022 from 2pm until 3pm at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G. Ave. where services will be held at 3pm Rev. Thomas Davenport officiating. Memorials may be made to the Spinal Bifida Association.
