Mary Beth Holewinski

Mary Beth Holewinski, 51, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, due to complications from leukemia. She was born on February 11, 1967, in Detroit, MI, to the late Anthony & Helen (Machala) Lenard. Mary Beth was very active in local Girl Scouts & enjoyed contact with the various chiropractic patients she interacted with as the Office Manager for Dr. Bryan Borenitsch, Dr. Deb Frett, & Dr. Daryl Prater. Many of her Kalamazoo friends will remember Thursday morning breakfasts at Colonial Kitchen, as well as Mary Beth always opening her home for game nights, backyard fires, or just a listening ear. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Josh) Cole & Claudia Holewinski, she is also survived by her “wasband” Tony Holewinski; 5 sisters & brothers Kathy (Doug) Brehm, Rick (Deb) Lenard, Larry Lenard, Bill (Gail) Lenard, & Betsy (Bill) Johnson, as well as 18 nieces & nephews & 15 great-nieces & nephews, plus numerous cousins & friends. Friends will be received 3-7 pm Sunday March 18, 2018 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Monday at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
