Martha Anne Brouwer

Martha Anne Brouwer passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born to Louis and Dorothy (Kluck) Mezo on November 4, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Martha loved her profession as a registered nurse, liked to travel, and enjoyed art as well as her pets. She is survived by her husband Thomas Brouwer; brothers Phil Mezo of Galesburg, Billy Mezo of Comstock , and Tony (Theresa) Mezo of Kalamazoo; sisters Linda (Bill) Carlton of Galesburg, Mike (Deb) Mezo of Scotts, Theresa (Dan) Stewart of Augusta, and Liz ( Tom) Haines of Galesburg; special friends Pat Nichols and Leslie Kucinich; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Martha is preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held on Thursday February 1, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed immediately by a memorial mass. Internment of cremated remains to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
