Marilyn E. Frazier, 94, of Portage, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Marilyn was born March 26, 1930 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of William and Marie (Schwartz) Manifold. On August 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dean Frazier who preceded her in death on September 26, 1963. Marilyn graduated from St. Augustine High School and was employed by Kalamazoo Anesthesiology, P.C. as a medical secretary for 21 years and then worked for Old Country Buffet for 17 years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and traveling. Especially memorable trips were to Hawaii, exploring the state of California and visiting Washington, D.C.
She is survived by four children, Michael Frazier of Portage, Cheryl Frazier of Kalamazoo, Timothy Frazier and Terry Frazier both of Portage; three grandchildren, Chelsea (David) Riddington, Brad Frazier and Brent (Leah) Frazier; 5 great grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Jack, Francesca and Beatrix; sister-in-law, Norma Barber, son-in-law Rick Bennett and close family friends, Rick and Cheryl Niemi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dean, daughter, Susan Bennett and brother, William Manifold.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
