Lester, Margaret Mary Kalamazoo Margaret was born in Kalamazoo on July 24, 1943, the daughter of Wilfrid L. "Bill" and Michelina F. "Margaret" (Russo) Lester. She was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Parchment High School in 1961, which was the first graduating class in the current building. Margaret worked for TOPPS, Docsa, Nazareth College, and KVCC where she retired after serving over 20 years as a Switchboard Operator. Margaret was a life long member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Parchment, where her parents were charter members. Margaret grew up camping and boating with family and was finally able to travel in her later years to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, and multiple locations along the East Coast. Her greatest pride and joy was caring for her many nieces and nephews from the early 70s all the way up to 2021. Her irresistible Magic Sleep Shoulder remained undefeated by the babies right up through the end. Margaret passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Michael J. Lester, Carol A. Seiser, and Paul G. Lester. Margaret is survived by a sister Terri Lester of Kalamazoo, brother-in-law Tom Seiser of Martin, MI, sister-in-law Mary Lester of Richland, several brats (knuckle-cracking nieces & nephews), and great-brats (angelic great-nieces & nephews). Friends will be received Friday December 31, 2021 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church from 10am until 10:30am when a rosary will be recited. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am, Fr. Albert Kemboi Celebrant. Luncheon to follow at the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Ambrose Church.
