Lowell I. Gettle

October 21, 1933 — January 23, 2020

Lowell  Gettle passed away on January 23, 2020.  Lowell was born in Cincinnati, OH the son of Emmett L. and Helen (Irwin) Gettle. He attended the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Navy. He retired after working 35 years in the printing ink industry. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Lowell is survived by his wife: Mary Beth (Wittekind) Gettle, children; Michael (Marissa) Gettle, Stephen (Nicole) Gettle, Daniel (Penny) Gettle, Beth Taylor, and Julie Stephenson (Ross), 14 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.  He was a wonderful husband for 61 years.  He was a loving and dedicated father who was involved in many activities with his children, including many years with the Boy Scouts of America.  He was blessed with a quick wit and dry sense of humor that was enjoyed by his family and many long-time friends   Friends will be received Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church from 10 am until mass at 11:00 am. Rev. Fr. Mark Vyverman celebrant.  Memorials may be made to Ministry with Community or St. Catherine of Siena kitchen renovation. Arrangements by Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S.
