Leslie Stanley Wotta

April 23, 1940 — October 29, 2019

Passed away Tuesday October 29, 2019 at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Leslie was born April 23, 1940 in Kalamazoo the son of Stanley and Stella (Smoker) Wotta, who preceded him in death. He was the Owner and Operator of The Sugar Bowl for Many Years, and owned many commercial and rental real estate properties over the years. Before that he was a barber and a bit of an adventurer, spending time in Alaska and Washington among many other travels. Les loved to fish, and when he did have time off, you would often find him on the lake, loving life. In fact, he loved it so much, that for over 20 years, he recreationally operated a red worm farm. There wasn't a sporting event that didn't interest him. He was an avid lover of the Detroit Tigers, and never missed a game.  He was always ready and able to help friends and family in a pinch, or offer them help where needed. His laughter and wit will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Surviving are two children, Matt (Kathleen) Wotta, Stacy (Alan) Hawkins; One Brother, Larry Wotta ; Five Grandchildren, Haylee Wotta, Patrick Alexander, Morgan Dingman, Nathan Hawkins, and Zachary Grosser.
