Lary A. Kloosterman 67 of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday October 30, 2021 at home. Lary was born October 17, 1954 in Kalamazoo the son of Jay and Shirley (Irvin) Kloosterman. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Bell) Kloosterman; daughter Abbi (Rusty) Patterson; grandchildren, Isaac Patterson and Kai Flegel; brothers, Dennis (Shyla) Kloosterman, Joel (Sharon) Kloosterman; sister-in-laws, Mary (Bell) Kiel, Margaret (Bell) Moritz, Judith (Bell) Bernal, Monica (Bell) Woodson; brother-in-law, Daniel Bell and many nieces & nephews. Lary served in the United Stated navy from 1974-1981. When he was discharged from the Navy Lary worked at Checker Motors and eventually became a master plumber serving the community with his plumbing company Atlas Plumbing. Lary never did anything in moderation; he was full bore into, bracket racing, pool playing, coin collecting, air rifles, snake hunting, bird watching, fishing and frying his catch for his family and friends. He always had a wise crack for one and all and frequently left customers, friends and family laughing at his off the wall crazy antics and humor. He lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by many. Friends will be received 10 – 11 am Friday November 5, 2021 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home where services will follow at 11 am.
