Kenneth Dale Swart

April 6, 1941 — May 7, 2022

Died under the care of hospice and his loving wife, Sarah, who survives him. He is also survived by his brother David (Terry) Swart, niece Randa Friedl and her children Brenna and Braeden Friedl, his nephew Ryan (Jennifer) Swart and children Matthew and Noah Swart, all of Grand Rapids. He was a very faithful and dedicated Episcopalian and member of St Luke's Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a very avid woodworker building a number of furniture pieces still in use. When his Parkinson’s didn't allow furniture building any longer he taught himself and took up chip carving. In his professional career, he was a cost analyst until he retired in 2006. According to his wishes, he has been cremated with no public viewing. His cremains will be interred at St Luke's columbarium following the service. On Saturday May 14, visitation will precede the memorial service from 10-11am with service at 11am at St Luke's, 247 W Lovell St, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Memorials to St Luke's Episcopal Church or Centrica Care Navigators, 7100 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 would be appreciated.
