Juanita Pittman

Juanita Pittman of Kalamazoo passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday November 26, 2018 at home. Juanita was born in Greenwood, MS June 23, 1950 the daughter of Willie and Annie (Tate) Hampton. She was a member of All Nations Church of God and retired after 30 years as a master burner building box cars for Thrall Car in Chicago Heights, then worked as a case manager and director for Inner Voice Homeless Shelter. On October 25, 2009 in Chicago, Juanita was united in marriage to Paul Pittman who survives. Also surviving are her six children, Robert (Elaine) Phason, Cathryn (Stacy) Phson, Reginald Phason, Delilah (Kenneth) Newell, Kala (David) McByrd, Diamond (Earl) Reed; siblings, Rosie Johnson, Allen Giles, Keith Hampton, Daniel Hampton, Jetaun (Robert) Fortenberry, Tiffany Hampton; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday December 8, 2018 at Lansing Presbyterian Church, 2625 Ridge Road Lansing, IL 60438 Phone: (708) 474-2710.
