Josée Dakia Germay went to meet her beloved Jesus on June 3, 2017. Josée was born in Rutshuru, Zaire, Africa on August 1, 1963, the daughter of Pierre-Claver Nkusi and Maria Mukabatsinda. A selfless soul , she was always about making others feel loved and feel special. A devout Catholic all her life, she was constantly praying for everybody and anybody she cared about. She will always be missed, but will continue to live inside our hearts forever. She was always aware of others who might need someone to speak to and sat down with them for however long the person needed. She is survived by her husband, Roger, whom she married in Rugari Burundi, Africa, on July 6, 1985. Also surviving are her three sons Marc, Frédéric, and Patric Germay all of Kalamazoo and her brother Alphonse Nkusi of Gisenyi, Rwanda, Africa. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 21 from 5 until 8 pm at Redmond Funeral Home 4100 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo MI, 49008. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22 at 9:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church 936 Lake St, Kalamazoo MI, 49001. Bishop Dominic Kimengich of Lodwar, Kenya, Africa will be officiating. The interment at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery 2003 Mt Olivet Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49004 will take place directly after the mass. The family would like to invite all to share a luncheon as well as memories with them at the Saint Joseph Church's Bennett building directly after the interment.
