Jeanette Olive Sikkenga

Passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice on September 15, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Jeanette was born in Buchanan, MI on August 22. 1946, the daughter of Carley and Belva (Gregory) Daniel.  She operated Jeanette's Daycare.  Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Carl, on July 12, 2022; daughter Tammie (Tim) Schlotterback; brother Dan Daniel; and sisters Jane Lamphear and Bonnie Mattison.  Surviving are 3 children: Wendy (Julie), Mark (Patti) and Scott (Ruby) Sikkenga  all of Kalamazoo, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Betty (Perry) Simmons, and several nieces & nephews.  Private burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be held on October 21st at the Oshtemo Community Center, 6407 Parkview, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 from 1 to 3 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centrica Care Navigators (formerly Rose Arbor).
