Janet Denise Butler

Butler, Janet N. of Kalamazoo. Passed away on February 9, 2022. Janet was born in Rochester, NY on Sept. 10, 1929 the daughter of Thomas and Angela (Bott) Newcomb. She was a Registered Nurse for Dr. Lode and Dr. Hoekstra in Parchment. She enjoyed being a Red Hat Lady and was an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Butler (married Rochester, NY September 8, 1951, died November 27, 1996) and her cherished grandson Mitch Butler of Redford, MI. Janet is survived by nine children and their spouses (Linda & Robert Aguirre of Parchment, David & Patty Butler of Kalamazoo, Carol & Jim Brock of Orlando FL, Bruce & Erin Butler of Sarasota FL, Denise Butler of Eugene OR, James & Ruby Butler of Estero FL, Doug Butler of Redford, Chris & Amy Butler of Creswell OR, Nancy & Andy Glaser of Mason OH), twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her sister Joan (Peter) Klee of Rochester NY, and several nieces and nephews. Private burial has taken place, and a Memorial Mass will take place this summer. Memorials may be made to the Parchment Community Library or the Michigan Library for the Blind.
