James Charles-Leslie Guarino

James Guarino 60 of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday December 17, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. James was born March 9, 1962 in Buffalo, NY the son of James and Elizabeth (Bence) Guarino. He was employed for the last 23 years for Whirlpool Corporation and was a member of St. Augustine Cathedral. James was a devoted father; he enjoyed working on computers and cars. He held over 20 patents and enjoyed hiking, golf, nature, music and reading. On July 14, 1989 in Kalamazoo James was united in marriage to the former Laura Gladstone who preceded him in death on October 25, 2016. Surviving are five children, James Guarino, II, Connor Guarino, Allysia Guarino, Colin Guarino, Quintin Guarino; one granddaughter, Lydiana Guarino; brother, Vincent Guarino; several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Tuesday December 27, 2022 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday December 28, 2022 at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
