James Anthony Fortunato

James A. Fortunato 62 of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday April 9, 2017 at home. James was born May 11, 1954 in Ypsilanti the son of Charles and Marjorie (Steffey) Fortunato. He received his bachelor’s degree from WMU and was employed as a district manager for Speedway. On October 26, 1985 in Kalamazoo James was united in marriage to the former Karen M. Steeby who survives. Also surviving are two brother’s Peter (Sue) Fortunato and John (Nancy) Fortunato all of Arizona; sister, Annmarie (Michael) Soraruf of Hamburg, MI; nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nancy Wagner and Angela Fortunato. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
