Harry Bartel DeGlopper

On Tuesday February 1, 2022, long-time Kalamazoo resident, Harry B. DeGlopper Jr. passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family. Harry was born February 18,1935 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was the son of Harry and Rose (Thompson) DeGlopper Sr. He leaves behind his beloved wife Emily (VanDelarre) DeGlopper, whom he married in Kalamazoo on January 4,1964. As well as his two daughters Rachel (Daniel) Barr and Mindy DeGlopper. Further, he will be mourned by his grandchildren, Brandon (Leslie) Schoolcraft, Suzzett (Robert) McCarty, Dylan (Heather) DeGlopper, Kobe (Tamara) Mason, and Haidin Schoolcraft, as well as other grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many additional relatives and friends. Harry was preceded in death by various family members, including his grandson Shane Barr, a granddaughter Karly Bingaman, and her daughter ‘baby Ava.’ There will only be a private memorial held at a later date.
