Greta Joanne Born

Greta Joanne Born passed away suddenly at home on November 26, 2017. Greta was born in Jackson March 27, 1932 the daughter of the late Harold Freeland and Clara (Davis) Heseman. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her husband William Born and two brothers Jack and Donald Freeland and beloved pet Butch. Surviving are her brothers, Richard Freeland of Petoskey and Robert (Francis) Freeland of Pickney; Her children, Janis (Lauren) French of Kalamazoo, Kathleen (Chet) Padget of Comstock, Linda Born of Romeo, John (Vicky) Born of Greenville, NC, Timothy (Jody) Born of Battle Creek; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. Friends will be received 12:30 - 1:30 pm Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, where services will follow at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery-North. Memorial contributions may be made to Comstock VFW.
