Georgia Mae McComis

Georgia Mae McComis, 89, of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021 at home. Georgia was born January 17, 1932 in St. James, the daughter of R. Cole and Vernice (Greenway) Foster. She was a cook at the Sugar Bowl and the Kozy Inn. Georgia enjoyed playing pool, bowing, ceramics and crocheting. In 1952 in Kalamazoo Georgia was united in marriage to Carl C. McComis, Sr. who preceded her in death on September 12, 2005. Also preceding her in death were two children, Carl McComis, Jr in 2010 and Carol Morrison in 2016; Siblings; Jerry Foster, Juanita Reeves, Hazel Foster, Mary Keilau, Modell Hines, Joe Foster, Frances Metzing, James Foster and Thomas Foster. Surviving are a daughter, Jane Langdon; brother, Bobby (Carol) Foster; son-in-law, Lee Morrison; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Private family services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center.
