Gayann Marie Schipper

Gayann Marie "Gayannie" Schipper went to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday March 13, 2021 at home. Gayann was born September 28, 1943 in Ludington the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth (Miller) Knowles. She was a faithful member of Oakwood Bible Church and member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary AIRE #3531 Schoolcraft-Portage. On November 9, 1991 in Three Rivers, she married her husband of 29 years Harold “Skip” Schipper who survives. Also Surviving, her son, Daniel J. (Cynthia) Stannard of Portage; daughter, Deborah L. (Rob Richardson) Stannard of Hastings; three grandsons, Ryan & Joey Stannard, Victor Ruder; and four very special children, Shane (Jennifer) Schipper, Collin (Myah) Schipper all of Kalamazoo, Sonya (Ben) Ruder, Chrystal (Dave) Stephens of Watertown, WI. She is also survived by her five step-children, Stephanie (Ken) Krebs of Arizona, Colette Schipper, Candy McCracken, Missy Schipper and Wayne Schipper; brother, John Knowles of Alabama. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Knowles, sister, Karen Lee Chapman. Gayann’s greatest joy in life was being with her husband and family first and then spending time with her best friends Gisele and Pat sewing and doing word finds. She would rather be in her home than anywhere else. Friends are being received 5-8 pm Tuesday March 16, 2021 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo and 12:30-1:30 pm Wednesday at Oakwood Bible Church where services will follow at 1:30 pm.
