Emogene Edith Barnett

Passed away Thursday July 18, 2019 at home. Gene was born February 22, 1926 in Olean, NY the daughter of Glen and Lillian (Graham) Gault. She was a member of the Lucinda Hinsdale Stone Chapter of the D.A.R. and Order of Eastern Star. Gene received her bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College in PA and was known to be a good friend to everyone. Deirdre Barnett was treated by her grandmother more as a daughter than a grand daughter. Her mother was 19 when Deirdre was born. Deirdre more than any other person brought joy and love to her grandmother. Mrs.Barnett also contributed to the Republican party, Various verterans Orginizations  and various native american tribes. On June 14, 1947 in Gene was united in marriage to Leroy Barnett who preceded her in death on March 26, 2004. Also preceding her in death is her brother Calvin Gault. Surviving are two children, Beth (Charles) Underwood, Brad Barnett; three grandchildren, Brenden, Deirdre and Audre. Private family services will be held at a later date.
