Dale Terry Koning

Dale T. Koning 82 of Kalamazoo passed away Friday August 6, 2021 at Park Place Assisted Living. Dale was born October 28, 1938 in Comstock the son of Joe and Frances (DeKraker) Koning. He was a 1958 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School; retired from Doubleday Brother’s Paper Company and was an avid bowler. On March 15, 1985 in Kalamazoo Dale was united to the former Joann Timmer who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mike Koning and Chuck Koning; three step children, Kathy (Ray) Spaulding, Scott (Jamie) Appleyard, Sherri (Jeff) Gagnon; sister, Delores “Dee” (Carl) Bushing; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle Koning, Ronald Koning. The memorial service will be held on August 27 from 1pm-1:30pm at Revel and Roll West located at 4500 Stadium Drive in their Executive Suite. A fellowship time with light snacks will follow from 1:30-4pm. Open bowling in Dale’s honor will be available and encouraged!
