Cheryle Lyn Williams

Cheryle Lyn Williams 71 of Battle Creek passed away Sunday August 27, 2023 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Cheryle was born July 11, 1952 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Lawrence and Donna (Brown) Truax. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and worked as a certified nurse’s aide for many years at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, Evergreen Manor and then at the Laurels of Bedford. Cheryle enjoyed spending time with her family and also at the beach. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ralph Williams. Also surviving are two daughters, Monica (Ryan) Rebec, Marsha (Brad) Phillips; three step daughters, Sandy (Terry Stevenson) Williams, Rona German, Jackie (Lewis) Sutton; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Siblings Robert (Dawn) Truax, Samuel (Nancy) Truax; Kathy Shoemaker; sister-in-law Denise Truax, brother-in-laws Gregorio Lopez, Rick Davis, Mike Thierjung, James (Belinda) Williams, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Truax, Jack Truax; four sisters, Diann Lopez, Sarah Brooks, Cecelia Thierjung, Lorraine Davis, and son-in-law Timothy German Sr. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
