Carter James Joseph Elsman

Carter J.J. Elsman passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 after an accident in Paw Paw. Carter was born November 1, 2000 in Plainwell the son of Thomas and Jyll (Jablonski) Elsman, Jr. He worked for Lakeshore Construction and enjoyed music, walking, basketball and hanging out with his OTF friends. Carter is survived by his mother, Jyll Elsman of Portage; father, Thomas (Mandi) Elsman of Gobles; sister, Ava Elsman of Portage; maternal grandmother, Kate White of Kalamazoo; paternal grandmother, Jo Bianco of Paw Paw; maternal great-grandmother, Clara Jablonski of Richland; half-brother, Hudson Shumate; two half-sisters, Kloey Winslow and Alydia Wolz; several aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alyssa Elsman in 2017; his maternal grandfather, Michael Jablonski and paternal grandfather, Thomas Elsman Sr. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
