Brian Patrick Ellis

Brian Patrick Ellis 37 of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday October 12, 2023 at home. Brian was born July 15, 1986 in Kalamazoo the son of Patrick and Francesca (Renda) Ellis. He graduated from Portage Central High School and received an associate’s degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Brian was a journeyman electrician and member of the IBEW Union, member of St. Monica Catholic Church, he enjoyed hockey and was an avid Lions and U of M football fan. Surviving are his Parents, Patrick Ellis and Francesca Ellis; two sisters, Susan (Matthew) Kemp, Kristen (Caleb) Kaylor-Knopf; brother, Kevin Ellis; paternal grandmother, Maxine Ellis; niece, Abigail Kemp; nephew, Peter Kaylor-Knopf; four uncles, Gary Ellis, Thomas “Terry” Ellis, Vincenzo (Tara) Renda, Leonardo (Teela) Renda. Friends will be received 5:30 – 7:30 pm Thursday October 19, 2023 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo where a Rosary will be recited following at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 pm  Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
