Julius Frank Kozerski of Portage passed away at Rose Arbor Residence on Thursday Feb. 23, 2017. Julius was born in Kalamazoo on Sept. 4, 1922 the son of Martin & Mary (Gruszczyk) Kozerski. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. He was a veteran of WW II having served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a radio operator aboard a C47 Military aircraft. He then graduated with a Business Administration Degree from Western Michigan College, afterword, he went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Drake University, Des Moines, IA. During the course of his career he worked as a Sales Representative for several specialty paper products manufacturers, mainly in OH. Julius retired after working for Moser Bag Co., of Cleveland, OH. For over 40 years he resided in Cincinnati, OH. Recently he returned to his hometown of Kalamazoo to be closer to family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Theodore Kozerski. Julius is survived by his sister: Dorothy Hanson, Downington, PA; brother: Edward (Jeanne) Kozerski of Kalamazoo, sister in law: Jane Kozerski, Novi, MI and Several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received Friday March 3 from 4 until 7pm at Parchment - Redmond Funeral Home where scripture service will be held at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 4 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Very Reverend James Richardson V.F, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
