Mary Louise Allen-Owens

Mary L. Allen-Owens of Portage passed away peacefully January 28, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center. Mary was born in Grand Rapids on February 7, 1961 the daughter of James and Veronica M. (Lemmon) Emery. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.Mary graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. She was the Manager of Commodities and Management at Flowserve Corporation in Kalamazoo. Mary shined and her loving spirit drew in people like a magnet. Mary’s love of travel took her many places around the world. She was very caring and giving. Mary loved life, and lived it to the fullest. She will be dearly missed.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Veronica M. (Lemmon) Emery of Norwich England, and her brother John Patrick Emery. Mary is survived by her loving husband Edward Owens of Deland FL, her loving sons, Blaine Allen(fiancé Tannah Harvey) and David Allen, her step children; DeAnna and Shane Owens, her sisters; Sharon Stoken and Tina (Mick) Mikel, her brother, Jim (Staci) Emery, her twin Sally (Tony) Cardenas, her sister Jill (Steve) Kinkema, Diane Gonzalez, her sister, Karen (Brian) Tomlinson,  her father James Emery, and her many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Redmond Funeral Home in Kalamazoo on Saturday February 4 at 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
