Albert (Al) Vincent Kimball, Jr. passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 90. Albert was born on November 23, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Albert V. Kimball Sr. and Isabelle Ann (Stevens) Kimball. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS Haynsworth and is a life member of the V.F.W. He retired as President/CEO of Kalamazoo Mill Supply. He was an avid Upper Michigan fisherman and enjoyed hunting in his younger days. He designed and built his own private golf course in the Yankee Springs area called the Polish Ponderosa where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Albert is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Mary Lou (Olsen) Kimball; one son, Albert (Debbie) Kimball III; one daughter, Deborah Linden; one grandson, Robert Kimball Linden; two sisters, Virginia Davis of Schoolcraft, Mary Purdham of Vicksburg; one Niece Cindy (Dick) Shattuck; one great-niece, Marci (Mike) Charvat; five step children, Gene, David, Sheryl, Michael and Steven; nine step-grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren; one step great-grandchild. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kairos Dwelling, Kalamazoo, MI.
