Mr. William “Bill” Malnight of Kalamazoo, passed away October 1, 2016 after a sudden illness. Bill was born in Kalamazoo, on September 11, 1958 the son of Robert J. and Margaret A. (James) Malnight. He was a teacher who loved to give “Oh, the places You’ll Go”, and a few other favorite titles to students at graduation. He also loved reading the Michigan legend books to his classes. Bill was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and their Choir. He was an avid U of M fan. He was preceded in death by his father Robert and nieces Jamie and Peggy. Bill is survived by his mother: Margaret Malnight, siblings: Patricia & Keith Andrews of Galax, VA, Margaret Malnight of Kalamazoo, Mary & Paul Honeysett of Portage, Robert & Stephanie Malnight of Lafayette , IN., Thomas Malnight of Switzerland, Richard & Laura Malnight of Wayland, MA. and Maxine & Dave Mamuscia of the Villages, FL. Also surviving are nieces & nephews: Matt, Jason, Meghan, Trey, Steve, Robert, Carrie, Josh, Sophia, Alexia, Lukas, Madeline, Katherine, Anna, Alex and Sam: 17 great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday October 4, 2016 beginning at 9 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St, Ambrose Choir. Bill will be remembered for the love and devotion he openly gave to his family, the young lives he impacted as a teacher, and the love and admiration felt for him by all of his nieces & nephews. Our world has lost a gentle soul with a heart of gold, but if we believe in life after death, we know he is with his dad talking golf and Michigan Football.
