Sally Ann Day

Sally Ann Day, of Kalamazoo passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center. Sally was born December 12, 1927 in Battle Creek the daughter of Roy and Dorothy (Parsons) Steinbacher. She graduated from Battle Creek St. Philip Catholic School and retired as a registered nurse after working for Borgess Medical Center and Fontbonne Manor. Sally was a member of St. Amborse Catholic Church and the DAR, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. On January 19, 1950 in Kalamazoo Sally was united in marriage to E. Warren "Bud" Day who preceded her in death on December 18, 2010. Also preceding her is death was a son, David Day; two brothers, Leroy and Dutch. She is survived by Three sons, Michael (Jody) Day; Patrick Day, John Day all of Kalamazoo; four daughters, Carol Ann (Robert) Fisher of Portage, Susan Palme of Kalamazoo, Jane Wolf of Parchment, Barbara (Mark) Motter of Marcellus; numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 5-8 pm Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Church.
