Alyce T. DeVolder

Alyce DeVolder of Kalamazoo, passed away March 15, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Alyce was born in South Bend, IN on April 22, 1930 the daughter of Stanley and Cecelia (Jozwiak) Nycz. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Alyce was proceeded in death by her husband Andrew and grandson Robert Amrhein, Alyce is survived by her daughter Kathy (Jerry) Amrhein of Portage, granddaughter Kelly Amrhein and a brother Stanley (Ruth) Nycz. Alyce enjoyed entertaining family and friends as well as bowling, bridge, poker and a good joke. She always considered herself fortunate to have many good friends and a loving family. Family and Friends will be received Sunday March 20 from 2 to 4 and 6 until 8pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156 where a rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday Mach 21, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Monica Catholic Church Father Larry Farrell celebrant. A luncheon in the church community building will follow immediately after mass. Entombment will be in Mt. Ever – Rest Memorial Park.
