Grace Elinor Allen

Grace Elinor Allen of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Gull Arbor Adult Foster Care. Grace was born on December 15, 1919 in Parkersburg, WV the daughter of the late Virgil and Lulu (Fankhauser) Eaton. Grace was a charter member of St. Monica Catholic Church. She volunteered for the American Red Cross in Kalamazoo and the Comstock Township Library. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Allen on March 22, 1983. She is survived by two sons, Richard J. (Rose) Allen of South Haven, Robert P. (Kristine) of Hudsonville; daughter, Mary (James) Jasiak of Richland; 12 grandchildren: Jonathan (Cheryl), Sarah (Neco) Salguera, Jeffrey (Erica), Susanna (Peter) Giessl, Kate, Paul, Julie, Jean, Thomas (Heidie) Jasiak, Joseph (Karalea) Jasiak, Elizabeth Jasiak and Constance Jasiak; four great-grandsons: Jose Daniel Salguera, Ricardo David Salguera, Joseph James Jasiak, Emmett Joseph Jasiak and two great-granddaughters: Elena Grace Allen and Kadia Sarvey; sister, Mary Winifred Flanagan of Vienna, WV; several nieces and nephews in West Virginia and Georgia. Family friends will be received 2-5 pm Sunday, December 13, 2015 where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:30 am Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
