Lisa D. Wesley

Lisa Del Arelia Wesley entered this world on February 5, 1969, born to Dorothy Olivia and Benny Bob Wesley, Sr. She passed away November 23, 2015, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lisa grew up in Inkster and Grand Rapids Michigan. She graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids Michigan and continued her education earning a Master’s. Prior to her passing she was pursuing a second Master’s degree online carrying a 3.7 GPA. Lisa’s employment spanned from administrative duties at a legal firm in Southfield, Michigan to a Title company in Kalamazoo. Her most satisfying position was her last… working with her brother Benny providing internet support and other duties as he expanded his real estate sales in Kalamazoo. Lisa had a joy for life that she shared with all through her love of laughter, music and dance. Lisa would say her greatest accomplishment was as a mother to Bobby and Jae, her pride and joy. She was the Mom in the stand yelling through karate matches, gymnastics, diving competitions, dance recitals and rugby. She experienced the joy of Bobby’s graduation from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2012, and 6 months short of Jae’s graduation in 2016, from Ferris State University in Michigan. Lisa leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children Robert (Bobby) Benjamin Wesley and Janae (Jae) Wesley; her mother Dorothy Walker, her father Benny (Marie) Wesley Sr, brother Benny Wesley Jr; step-sisters, Dina James, Quanette Dickason and Marnique Galbreath; step-brother Brian Walker; nephew Courtney Wesley, niece Olivia Wesley and a host of relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1 PM November 28, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church 5701 Mt. Olivet Rd. Kalamazoo, MI.
