Thomas Edison Mott

Thomas E. Mott of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully Friday, November 13, 2015 at Upjohn Community Care Center. Tom was born September 27, 1931 in Dover, TN the son of Perry and Grace (Humphrey) Mott, he was raised in South East Missouri. Tom enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, his family and grandchildren; he was a member of the Northern Cherokee Nation of the Old Louisiana Territory of Missouri and former member of the Moose Lodge. Tom retired from Hydreco Galesburg. Tom is survived by his wife Betty Mott; five children, Diane (Eugene) Edwards, Teresa Mott, Michael (Yvette) Mott, Mark (Nannette) Mott, Rosanne (Mitch) Hylton; eight grandchildren, Carrie Farrell, Jennifer Farrell, McKenzie Mak, Tommy Mott, Trisha Mott, Chad Mott, Troy Mott, Maggie Hylton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters, Brenda Mott and Michelle Farrell; three sisters and two brothers. Friends are being received Sunday 5-8 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave.Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156 where services will be held Monday 11 am. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amazing Grace Church.
