Jean Ann Buiwitt

Jean Ann Buiwitt of Gobles, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Jean was born July 28, 1946 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Willard and Margaret (Pfeil) Collier. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Western Michigan University and taught English and History at Otsego High School. She is survived by her husband, Alexander Buiwitt of Gobles whom she was united in marriage on October 19, 1974 in Bangor; son, Brad (Terri) Buiwitt of Corunna; two daughters Christine (Joey) Ballesteros of Lomita, CA, Joann Buiwitt-Shafer of Saline; brother Tom Collier of Greeley, CO; sister, Susan (James) Maley of Greeley, CO; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three special nephews, Tommy, David and Paul. Friends will be received 10 am Friday, July 31, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier, Celebrant. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements by Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S.
