Joan Betke of Kalamazoo, passed away July 15, 2015. Joan was born in Battle Creek on June 3, 1931, the daughter of Duane and Albertina Thorton. She was preceded in death by her sister: Yvonne Korbakis. Joan is survived by her husband Charles to whom she was married for 59 years. Also surviving are her children: Debra Whittaker of Kalamazoo, Gayle Lovett of Comstock, Joseph & Robin Betke of Kalamazoo, Mary & Vince McNally of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
