Lois Ann Gillaspie

Passed away July 14, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Lois was born November 30, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of George and Frances (Scheid) Altermatt II. She was a pharmaceutical Operator at Upjohn Company. Lois married Paul Gillaspie on July 14, 1951 in Kalamazoo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1999; also preceding her are 2 sisters, Theresa Soule and Kathleen Steers; brother George Altermatt. Lois is survived by her daughters, Susanne Courtney, Sandra Andrews both of Kalamazoo and Sally Middleton of Paw Paw; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 6-8 pm, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156 and where funeral services will be held 12 pm Saturday. Internment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank Medilodge Nursing Home and Bronson Hospital for the excellent care that they provided for our mother.
