Lepha Mae Trainer

Lepha Mae Trainer of Kalamazoo, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Lepha was born on June 21, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Joseph & Esther (Lockard) Morlan. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6252 and loved to square dance. Lepha was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Trainer; two sisters, Joyce & Lova; brother, Erwin Ashbrook; and companion, James Harley. Lepha is survived by her children, Rosalie (Mark) Johnston of Paw Paw, Dan (Denise) Trainer of Portage, Jeff (Allisen) Trainer of Kalamazoo; daughter-in-law Debbie Trainer of Kalamazoo, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Albert Cole. Friends will be received on Friday, May 29, at 2 PM at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 3 PM. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the service at the Sports Forum, 803 W. Mosel, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Kalamazoo.
