Lucy Carmella Rose

Lucy C. Rose of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at home. Lucy was born October 18, 1920 in Heming Ford, NE the daughter of Sam and Maude (Roby) Savoca. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was active in the Missionettes. Lucy retired as a cook for the Kalamazoo Juvenile Home and previously worked for the Holly Grove Children’s Home in California. In 1939 Lucy was united in marriage to Robert L. Rose who preceded her in death in 2000, also preceding her was a daughter Barbara Pursel in 1974 and a brother Donald Savoca. Surviving are five daughters, Christy Foreman of Miami, FL, Judith (Jack) Parrish of Otsego, Sydney (Donavon) Wieas of Battle Creek, Sherry (Ed) McNees of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchidlren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends are being received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday, January 12, 2015 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Services will be held 1 pm Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mt.
