Doris E. Birkhold

Doris E. Birkhold of Kalamazoo, passed away Saturday December 27, 2014 at Park Place Living Center. Doris was born May 27, 1927 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Leo and Agnes (Cagney) Maat. She retired in 1987 after 30 years from the Dept. of Agriculture. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Doris was united in marriage to Ted Birkhold who preceded her in death in 1993. Surviving are two sons, Michael Birkhold of Pinckney, Ronald (Valerie) Birkhold of Huntington, IN; sister, Rita Bryan of Titusille, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at 10:30 to 11:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where a memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am.
