Robert Eljene Aukerman

Passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at home. Robert was born September 4, 1955 the son of Willard and Barbara (Heighton) Aukerman. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Robert worked as a machine operator for International Paper. Robert was united in marriage to the former Joni Williams who survives. Also surviving is a son, Robert (Melinda) O’Rourke, brothers, David (Debra) Aukerman, Benny (Karen) Aukerman, sisters, Diane (Mike McDonald) Deem, Brenda (Chet Lathrop) Roe, grandchildren, Connor and Kenadee O’Rourke. He is also survived by a special Sister-In-Law and niece Cheri and Melody Morgan and many friends and family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky L. Aukerman and niece Pamela A. Aukerman. Friends are being received from 12-2 p.m. Monday at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo MI 49008 (269)343-6156, where services will be held 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Jeff McVay.
