Rollie A. Giswold

Passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Borgess Gardens. Rollie was born August 31, 1936 in Petoskey the son of James and Frances (Fleshman) Griswold. He was a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Army. He received his bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from WMU, and taught Math and Driver’s Ed at Loy Norix High School retiring in 1995 and taught Math at KVCC. He was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. On Sept. 3, 1960 in Kalamazoo Rollie was united in marriage to the former Linda Yntema who preceded him in death in 2010, along with a grandson Theodore Malpass. He is survived by a daughter, Debra (Bruce) Malpass of Delton; son, Richard (Aimee) Griswold of Portage; four grandchildren; sister, Sue Ann Hughey of Clarion; and four nieces. A memorial service will be held at VFW Post 1527, 1920 E. Kilgore Service Rd. Kalamazoo, MI 49002 on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
