Elsie E. Jacher of Kalamazoo, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Park Place in Kalamazoo. Elsie was born October 26, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois one of ten children. She was a very gentle soul, known for being very loving and caring who loved children. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for over 50 years. Elsie was united in marriage to her husband Stanley Jacher on April 28, 1951, who survives her. The two spent the next 63 years together and lived in northern Michigan in St. Ignace while Stanley worked on the Mackinac Bridge. Also surviving is her niece, Doris Criner, who she raised as her own and helped take care of Doris’ children Joshua (deceased) and Andy Criner. She will be remembered for her very loving and kind spirit. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Paw Paw.
